The Nanyang President’s Graduate Scholarship (NPGS) is a competitive and prestigious scholarship scheme designed to encourage outstanding graduates or final-year students to take their first step towards a leading research career by studying for a doctoral degree program (Phd) at NTU, one of Asia’s leading research universities. Funding will be provided for up to 4 years for NPGS awardees.

Up to 30 NPGS awards will be made available in each Academic Year. Successful candidates will be known as Nanyang President’s Graduate Scholars.

Minimum Qualification

To qualify for a NPGS award, you must have a First Class Honours degree or equivalent at Bachelor’s level and applicants should also demonstrate excellent research abilities. The PhD research will be in any topic agreed between you and your chosen NTU supervisor within the research activities of NTU. At the time of application, if you have not yet completed your undergraduate degree programme, you will need to furnish documentation from your university that you are on track to get a First Class Honours degree or equivalent. Failure to do so will disqualify you from the NPGS award, in which case you may be considered for other NTU PhD research scholarships, subject to meeting the selection criteria. The application for Academic Year 2012-13 (Aug 12 and Jan 13) intake is now open from 1 Oct 11 to 15 Nov 11. Please click here to apply. Please note that NPGS applications with full supporting documents must reach the Graduate Studies Office by 15 Nov 11. We regret that late applications will not be considered. Successful candidates will be notified by post or email in Feb/Mar 2012.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified international students for scholarships to undertake the degree of Master by Research or Doctor of Philosophy at The University of Western Australia. Application for a scholarship is also an application for admission to the University.
The purpose of the IPRS and the UWA SIRF scheme is to attract top quality international postgraduate students to areas in which the University has specialised research strengths and to support Australia’s research effort. Successful applicants can expect to become members of a research team working under the direction of senior researchers and in an area which has attracted external resources.
These scholarships cover International Tuition Fees for up to four (4) years, as well as Overseas Student Health Cover.  Successful applicants may also be awarded a full living allowance scholarship.

Eligibility
Applications for international postgraduate research scholarships at UWA are rated according to the following criteria: (a) Academic achievement; (b) English language achievement; (c) Research training achievement; and (d) Proposed research environment.
Allocation of scholarships is the outcome of a competitive ranking and selection process in which applications are scored and ranked by Schools, Faculties and the University Scholarships Committee, according to these common criteria and on the basis of evidence provided.

Master and Doctor Teaching/Research Assistant Scholarship Program.
Academic Year: 2011/2012 Term 2

In an effort to increase the capacity and quality of research,
the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Indonesia
is providing scholarship opportunities for the graduate studies
program at the masters level (S2 Magister Ilmu Komputer/MIK) and
doctoral level (S3 Doktor Ilmu Komputer/DIK)
as a research or teaching assistant.

Scholarship recipients will be exempt from having to pay tuition fees,
and will receive a living allowance of IDR 1.5 million/month (for S2/MIK
students)
to IDR 2million/month (for S3/DIK students).
For MIK students the support will be provided for up to 3 (three)
semesters,
and for DIK students the support will be provided for up to 6 (six)
semesters.
Alongside their postgraduate studies, scholarship recipients
will also be contracted to work as a Teaching Assistant
or Research Assistant with part-time workload.

HHMI's new fellowship program supports outstanding international predoctoral students studying in the United States who are ineligible for fellowships or training grants through U.S. federal agencies.

HHMI will award three-year fellowships to international students to support years three, four, and five of a Ph.D. program. Eligible biomedical-related fields include biology, chemistry, physics, math, computer science, engineering, and plant biology—as well as interdisciplinary research.

About the Fellowship
    * Participation is by invitation only.
    * Students must be in the 3rd or 4th year of a Ph.D. program in the biomedical or related sciences at a designated nominating institution to activate the fellowship.
    * Students in their 1st, 2nd, or 5th year of their Ph.D. program cannot activate the fellowship.
    * In no case will support past year 5 of the Ph.D. program be provided.
