The Government of the Republic of Macedonia announces the Call for Applications for full undergraduate scholarships, initiating for the academic 2013/2014, at the University of Information Science and Technology "St Paul the Apostle" in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia (www.uist.edu.mk)

The scholarships are available to outstanding students, not older than 22 years old who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in one of the following programmes:

(1) Communication Networks and Security;

(2) Computer Science and Engineering;

(3) Information Systems, Visualization, Multimedia and Animation;

(4) Information Theory and Analysis and

(5) Machine Intelligence and Robotics.

The scholarship provides for:

· full tuition fees;

· visa and residence permit fees (proof of good health condition and immunization chart is required);

· return air fare from the applicant's home country;

· accommodation and food (full board) in the University dorm "Nikola Karev" in Ohrid, the Republic of Macedonia;

· health insurance;

· additional monthly allowance of 5000 MKD (approximately 82 EUR);

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Statistik (STIS) – semula bernama Akademik Ilmu Statistik (AIS) – merupakan perguruan tinggi kedinasan yang diselenggaran oleh Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) sejak tahun 1958. STIS kembali memanggil pemuda/pemudi Indonesia yang memiliki motivasi tinggi untuk dididik menjadi ahli statistik.

STIS menyelenggarakan program Diploma IV (D-IV) yang diterapkan dengan sistem paket yang dinyatakan dalam Satuan Kredit Semester (SKS) dan ditempuh selama 4 tahun. STIS memiliki 2 jurusan, yaitu Statistika dan Komputasi Statistik, di mana jurusan Statistika terbagi menjadi 2 bidang peminatan, yaitu Statistika Ekonomi dan Statistika Sosial Kependudukan. Selama masa studi, mahasiswa tidak dikenakan biaya pendidikan dan mendapat Tunjangan Ikatan Dinas (TID) sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Lulusan STIS mendapat sebutan Sarjana Sains Terapan (S.S.T.) dan langsung diangkat menjadi Calon Pegawai Negeri Sipil (CPNS) golongan III/a untuk selanjutnya ditempatkan di unit kerja BPS di seluruh Indonesia sampai dengan tingkat kabupaten/kota.
