Ericsson scholarship supports international students
A new scholarship for international students has been established at Chalmers University of Technology. Ericsson AB will fully support the tuition fee for two international students at the master's programme Communication Engineering for the autumn 2011 intake.
“We are very happy that Ericsson wants to support the programme with scholarships. Our education in communication engineering is world class and the fact that Ericsson will provide its support confirms this”, says Gunilla Walther, Department of Signals and systems.

“We have a very good experience with graduates from this programme”, says Dag Jungenfelt, Head of Product Development Unit Microwave Networks at Ericsson. “To ensure that we can continue to meet the future needs in knowledge and skills, we are proud to be part of the establishment of this scholarship.”

From autumn 2011, students with citizenship in a country outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland will be required to pay tuition fees for Swedish Higher Education. At Chalmers the fees are set to SEK 140 000/year for most educations, and to 190 000/year for educations within the field of architecture.

The students that wish to study in Sweden can apply for several scholarships. At Chalmers, some of the scholarships are funded directly by Chalmers and others are provided by the Swedish Institute.

Opening: UWC South East Asia 2011 Scholarship Program for NAD


We are opening 2 scholarships for UWC South East Asia, Singapore 2011 intake for students from Nangroe Aceh Darussalam, funded by Trafigura Foundation. This scholarship started in 2006 and was established initially to support children whose education was disrupted by the tsunami and is also aimed at building a post-conflict Aceh

The selection will be opened in January 3rd to January 28th, 2011. The winners will get 3 years full scholarships at the UWC SEA started from August 2011.

These are the basic selection criteria:

Academic:

Academic result average with minimum 8.0 out of 10.0 (calculated from the 1st semester of year 7 up to the 1st semester of year 9 of of Junior High School/SMP).

General Requirement:

Indonesian citizens age between 14 – 16 (currently in 3rd year of Junior High School or SMP)
Completed and signed application form
Achievements in Extra curricular activities
Completed reference forms from two referrers (see application form)
2 recent passport-size (4 x 6) colour photographs

Certified copy of documents:

Academic transcripts or report card from the first year until the last completed quarter/semester of Junior High School or SMP;
Family card (Kartu Keluarga) and parents’ or guardian’s valid ID cards (KTP or passports);
Certificates of courses (English, Computer, etc.), TOEFL or similar test’s result which may have been taken in the past.
Also proof of being members of an organization, and other merits/awards which had been attained in the past. These are optional;

Beasiswa Pemerintah Prancis (BGF) 2011 sudah dibuka !

Tentang BGF 2011 :

Pemerintah Prancis melalui Kedutaan Besar Prancis di Jakarta telah memberikan beasiswa kepada warga Indonesia selama lebih dari 30 tahun. Dalam rangka mengembangkan Sumber Daya Manusia di Indonesia, Kedutaan Besar Prancis akan memberikan beasiswa untuk tahun 2010.

Beasiswa tersebut diberikan kepada pegawai negeri, dosen, mahasiswa (terutama mereka yang terlibat dalam program kerjasama antara Prancis dan Indonesia) untuk mengikuti 2 jenis program pendidikan :

Master (full scholarship)
Doktorat (full scholarship - 18 bulan)

Juri akan memberikan prioritas kepada mereka yang telah melakukan identifikasi program baik master atau doktorat dan yang telah memiliki respon positif / rekomendasi dari profesor Prancis atau surat penerimaan.
