One scholarship of £10,000 is awarded to a student from any country.

Eligibility
The scholarships are open to applicants who have an excellent academic record and who are applying for admission onto the Full-time MBA or MBA in International Business in September 2012. An award may be withdrawn if a student fails to meet the academic standards set by the University.

Although applications for the scholarships should be made before 31 May 2012, the scholarships will only be awarded to applicants who have firmly accepted their offer through payment of the deposit. Applicants who hold full sponsorships are not eligible for the scholarship.

If an applicant is successful in being awarded a scholarship, but subsequently declines their offer of admission on the MBA programme, the award of the scholarship will be withdrawn and awarded to another applicant.

Applying
Applicants should submit a 1000 word essay, explaining why they feel they should be awarded the scholarship, and how the scholarship will benefit them.

This essay should accompany the application for admission to the MBA programme.

The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and the benefits to the student. The decision will be made by a committee consisting of Directors and key staff from Admissions.

If you have already sent your application, you are welcome to apply separately. Please enclose your full name and contact details as stated in your programme application. Separate scholarship applications without these details will not be considered.

Notification
A Selection Committee will meet in June 2012 to select the scholarship holder and the winner will be announced shortly afterwards. The successful applicants will be invited by the University to attend an award ceremony early on in the programme.

Ailie Donald Bursary
This bursary of £1,500 is awarded annually for full-time or part-time postgraduate study in English Language.

Eligibility
Candidates must give evidence of reasonable attempts to obtain alternative funding through the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Scottish Overseas Research Students Awards Scheme or equivalent bodies.

Preference will be given to applicants for the MSc programme and graduates of the University.

Selectors reserve the right to invoke the criterion of academic merit.

Maka PT. Metro Batavia kembali melaksanakan Program Pendidikan Penerbang untuk mencetak penerbang yang handal dan profesional yang dapat mendukung kemajuan perusahaan.

TUJUAN
Merekrut calon-calon penerbang dan kemudian mendidiknya untuk menjadi penerbang PT. Metro Batavia yang handal dan profesional di masa yang akan datang.

KETENTUAN

Description of the research project/area of research
Translational control of gene expression is emerging as a key mechanism for cancer initiation, progression and metastasis. The project will be focused on identifying mechanisms that allow dys-regulation of mRNA translation in cancer.

Qualifications of the applicant
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, with an outstanding completed PhD thesis and a strong drive for a future career in research. The candidate should be capable of generating novel ideas, acquire knowledge independently and posses sufficient laboratory skills to evaluate and develop new methods. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. At least one first author paper in a high quality international peer-reviewed journal is necessary to be considered. Because we apply bioinformatics/biostatistics for analysis of mRNA translation, knowledge in bioinformatics/biostatistics is an advantage and strong interest required. Experience with molecular biology methods is required and hands-on experience with RNA methods is positive.

To qualify, the applicant must hold a doctor’s degree in molecular biology/RNA biology or similar (or a foreign qualification deemed equivalent to a doctorate). Applicants who have completed their degree no more than three years before the last date for applications should be given priority. Candidates who have completed their degree earlier than this should receive equal priority if special grounds exist.

A scholarship for the pursuit of postdoctoral studies may be awarded to a person who comes from a country outside of Sweden, and whose intent is to stay in Sweden for his or her entire, or partial, postdoctoral education. The head of the department decides whether the applicant’s education and scientific qualifications will be regarded as equivalent to (or higher than) a Swedish doctorate.

Scholarships may not be given to anyone who in the two years before the proposed award of the scholarship has received a salary or remuneration from Karolinska Institutet.

A condition for scholarship for the pursuit of postdoctoral studies is that the scholarship holder is centrally registered as a postdoc.

Information about research scholarship for postdoctoral studies
At Karolinska Institutet, scholarships may only be established for the education of the holder. Educational scholarships are restricted for postdoctoral studies lasting up to two years and exempted from Swedish income tax.
A scholarship for the pursuit of postdoctoral studies may be awarded for up to two years in the five years following the public defence (or equivalent) of a doctoral thesis. The scholarship amount is approved for up to six months at a time and is paid monthly.

The main objectives of the Department of Oncology-Pathology are basic, translational and clinical research and educational activities related to cancer. Approximately 300 people from over 40 nations are currently working at the department. 37 research groups with various cancer research profiles are involved and we have around 120 PhD students. The department of Oncology-Pathology is responsible for undergraduate courses in Pathology, Oncology and Forensic Medicine for medical students, as well as Tumor Biology courses for biomedicine students and pathology courses for opticians.

Beasiswa s1, s2 dan s3 di Rusia

SETIAP awal tahun, pemerintah Federasi Rusia membuka pendaftaran beasiswa bagi mahasiswa Indonesia untuk belajar di Rusia untuk jenjang S1, S2, dan S3. Tahun 2012, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Rusia memberikan 40 kuota untuk S1 dan S2, dan 10 kuota untuk S3.

PERSYARATAN yang harus dipenuhi pelamar adalah:
S1 : nilai rata-rata 80% untuk mata pelajaran yang sesuai program studi tujuan; nilai minimal 60% untuk mata pelajaran lain; tidak lebih dari 3 tahun setelah tamat SMA; melengkapi berkas-berkas yang diperlukan. Yang belum punya ijazah SMA, dapat menyertakan nilai rapor kelas 11 s.d. 12.
S2 : IPK minimal 2,75; tidak lebih dari 3 tahun setelah tamat S1; melengkapi berkas-berkas yang diperlukan. Yang kelulusannya lebih dari 3 tahun, dapat sertakan surat referensi kerja sesuai spesialisasi untuk dipertimbangkan.
S3 : IPK minimal 3,00; usia maksimal 35 tahun; membuat proposal maksimal 2 halaman tentang tema penelitian ilmiah (dalam Bahasa Indonesia, yang diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Inggris dan Rusia); menyertakan rekomendasi 2 profesor; diharapkan memiliki pengalaman kerja sesuai spesialisasi; melengkapi berkas-berkas yang diperlukan.

PELAMAR dapat memilih jurusan program studi, tetapi penempatan kota dan universitas ditentukan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Federasi Rusia.

PENERIMA beasiswa mendapat: gratis biaya pendidikan selama 5 tahun (1 tahun Fakultas Persiapan & 4 tahun program S1), 3 tahun (1 tahun Fakultas Persiapan & 2 tahun program S2), 3 tahun program S3; uang saku per bulan +/-1400RUB/ +/-46USD (disesuaikan ketentuan universitas).
S1, S2 mengikuti fakultas persiapan untuk belajar Bahasa di Rusia dan akan tiba di Rusia pada bulan September-Oktober; S3 akan tiba di Rusia pada bulan November-Desember.
