Kami komunitas mahasiswa Indonesia di KAUST ingin berbagi informasi tentang beasiwa S2 \ S3 dan lowongan Postdoc di kampus kami, KAUST. Beasiswa berupa:

1. Gaji bersih perbulan berkisar (25 - 30 juta rupiah) untuk Master/PhD dan ~50 juta rupiah untuk Postdoc.

2. Disediakan tempat tinggal berupa rumah untuk tiap mahasiswa (1 rumah/1 mahasiswa)

3. Asuransi kesehatan (15000 USD) mengcover perobatan, biaya melahirkan, kacamata, scaling gigi dll.

4. Tiket pulang pergi ke kampung halaman setahun sekali untuk mahasiswa dan keluarga.

5. Uang kuliah digratiskan sama sekali.

The University of Ulster is a leading research institution in the built environment. It has been ranked in the top five subject research centres of excellence for 20 years. It is seeking PhD student applications to commence in September 2014 to join the internationally respected research teams in the School of the Built Environment which is based at the Jordanstown campus, University of Ulster. The research groups have attracted over £12million in research grant funding in the past five years.
Research is overseen by the Built Environment Research Institute (BERI) and is organized into four centres: Research in Property and Planning, Centre for Sustainable Technologies, Hydrogen Safety Engineering and Research and the Fire Safety Engineering Research Technology Centre.
Expertise ranges from fire engineering research, hydrogen safety, energy engineering to land use planning and property performance analysis. BERI is concerned with the delivery of research that will enhance the quality of the built environment and address the changing needs of society in a more resilient manner.
We welcome the submission of PhD projects by applicants and we also offer a range of PhD opportunities linked with current projects (below).
A number of grants covering fees and living expenses are available via a competitive interview process. Information concerning the application process and funding can be found using the link above.

To be considered for entry, applicants should hold, or expect to hold by 15 August 2014 a first or upper second class honours degree in a subject relevant to the proposed research topic. As part of a recently funded Australian Research Council Discovery Project, two PhD scholarships in Palaeoclimatology/Palaeoceanography are available for highly motivated candidates worldwide.
The starting date of the scholarship will be in 2014.
Research topics are flexible, aiming to understand the global carbon cycle, ocean circulation changes, and marine physiochemical evolution on various timescales over Quaternary. Possible research includes, but is not limited to, biomineralization mechanisms of palaeo-proxies associated with marine sediments (e.g., foraminiferal/coralline carbonates and diatoms), application of existing and new methodologies for palaeo-reconstructions (e.g., ocean carbonate chemistry and temperature and salinity changes), and interpretation of time series records using climate models. Candidates need a background in Palaeoceanography, Ocean Sciences, and Geochemistry. Although not a requirement, experience with microfossil (e.g., foraminifera) geochemical analyses in a clean lab (incl. trace element concentrations and isotopic ratios) will be an advantage.
Research will have access to state-of-the-art trace elemental and isotopic analysis facilities (including (LA-)ICP-MS, MC-ICP-MS (Neptune), SHRIMP, AMS, and clean laboratories) that are operated by the Earth Environment group and more broadly within RSES.
