The Chemical and Biological Systems Engineering Laboratory at the Institute of Chemical and Bioengineering is seeking a highly motivated
PhD student “gene regulatory network inference”
Be a part of an exciting and interdisciplinary research in systems biology and engineering!
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student in the area of gene
regulatory network inference. The research work will be computational
and theoretical in nature, but will also involve collaborations with
experimental partners. In this project, we are studying the decision
making process involved in stem cell differentiation through the
development and application of network inference methods for single cell
gene expression data.
The ideal candidate
should have an excellent academic record with a Masters degree in
systems biology, mathematics, statistics, bioinformatics, engineering or
a related field. Knowledge of molecular biology is highly desirable.
The candidate should also have a strong interest in theoretical and
computational research. We have a very international working environment
with highly energetic people. Proficiency in English is required. The
position is available immediately, but the starting date can be
negotiated.
