Universitas Oxford di Inggris menawarkan Mica and Ahmet Ertegun Graduate Scholarship Programme di bidang humaniora untuk tahun ajaran 2013-14. Progam beasiswa ini ditujukan untuk menumbuhkan dialog lintas disiplin akademik, lintas budaya, dan lintas generasi. Lulusan program beasiswa ini diharapkan siap menjadi pemimpin yang tidak hanya menguasai bidang yang dipilih, tetapi juga membentuk seorang pemimpin yang memiliki pemikiran, pandangan global, dan aksi positif untuk kemajuan umat manusia.

Tersedia enam beasiswa untuk program pascasarjana satu atau dua tahun. Beasiswa ini akan menanggung seluruh biaya kuliah dan kebutuhan akademik serta memberikan uang saku untuk hidup sebesar 13.590 poundsterling. Penerima beasiswa juga berhak atas akses ke Ertegun House yang memberikan keleluasaan kepada penerima beasiswa untuk menulis dan melakukan penelitian, berpartisipasi dalam sejumlah acara sosial, kuliah umum, dan aktivitas lain untuk membangun kualitas lulusan beasiswa ini sesuai tujuan.

Apa saja syaratnya? Kandidat harus bekerja di bidang yang terkait dengan fakultas-fakultas yang ditawarkan, yaitu klasik (meliputi arkeologi klasik), sastra dan bahasa Inggris, sejarah (termasuk sejarah seni dan sejarah arsitektur), linguistik , filologi dan fonetik, bahasa abad pertengahan dan modern (mencakup bahasa Eropa kebanyakan dan literatur mereka), musik, studi oriental (termasuk studi wilayah Timur Jauh dan Timur Tengah dan studi berbagai bahasa), filsafat, serta teologi. Pastikan diri pula memenuhi persyaratan untuk masuk ke program studi pilhan, termasuk persyaratan bahasa Inggris.

Untuk mendaftar program ini, kandidat bisa mengikuti petunjuk di laman resmi Mica and Ahmet Ertegun Graduate Scholarship dan perlu mengunduh formulir pernyataan pendukung yang ada. Pendaftaran ditutup pada tanggal 4 Januari 2013 untuk program studi Filsafat dan 18 Januari 2013 untuk program studi lainnya. Penawaran program studi ini akan diputuskan pada 13 Maret 2013. The Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future program, launched in 2004, awards fellowships to women from developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD or post-doctoral studies in the physical sciences*, engineering and technology at leading universities abroad*.
The long-term goal of the Faculty for the Future program is to generate conditions that result in more women pursuing academic careers in scientific disciplines thus contributing to the socio-economic development of their home countries and regions.
The Faculty for the Future program is growing each year and has become a powerful community of 257 women scientists from 62 countries. Grant recipients are selected as much for their leadership capabilities as for their scientific talents. Ultimately they are expected to return to their home countries to continue their academic careers, to further their research, to teach and to become inspirational role models for other young women. 
Faculty for the Future grants are based on actual costs up to a maximum of USD 50,000 per year and may be renewed through to completion of studies subject to performance, self-evaluation, and recommendations from supervisors.
Candidates should have applied to, have been admitted to, or be currently enrolled in a university abroad* when submitting their Faculty for the Future grant application. Candidates must hold an excellent academic record and be able to evidence their commitment to teaching, research or using science in public policy advocacy. Candidates should demonstrate leadership skills and have a track record in encouraging young women into the sciences. 
* Related disciplines may also be awarded. For example, awards in biological sciences are limited to interdisciplinary research between physical and biological sciences.

Shari'ah Scholarship Award (SA) from The International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance

The International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) invites qualified students with excellent academic achievements and active in co-curricular activities to apply for the Shari'ah Scholarship Award (SA) to pursue their higher education at either local or overseas universities. The Shari'ah Scholarship Award is part of the Fund for Shari'ah Scholars in Islamic Finance, which was established to enhance knowledge, research, talents, and intellectual discourse in the field of Shari'ah. The Fund represents Bank Negara Malaysia's commitment to strengthen the development of the Islamic financial industry.

Eligible Study programmes:

  • Postgraduate (Master or Doctorate) in Shariah or Islamic finance studies at recognized institutions of higher learning;
  • Undergraduate studies at recognized institutions of higher learning in the field of Shari'ah with a double degree or a minor in one of the following disciplines: Islamic banking; Conventional banking; Accounting; Law; Economics; Finance; Management; or other related fields appropriate to the development of the Islamic financial industry.
  • CIFP, only for those with Shariah background.

Essential Requirements
  • The scholarship is open to citizens of all countries.
  • Applicants have to secured admission at a recognized institution of higher learning. Applicants are required to pursue either a Bachelor, CIFP , Master or Doctorate programme, as defined above, in a fulltime programme.
  • For a postgraduate application, applicants are required to have a CGPA of at least 3.5 or its equivalent.
  • For an undergraduate application, applicants are required to have a CGPA of at least 3.3 or its equivalent (for the first semester result).
  • Current students enrolled in the programmes specified above may also apply for the scholarship.
  • Applicants should not be in receipt of any other scholarship award.

Global Undergraduate Exchange program

The Office of Academic Exchange Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U. S. Department of State is pleased to announce an exchange program for undergraduate students - The 2013 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD).

The Global UGRAD Program provides scholarships for one semester or one academic year of U.S. Study in a NON-DEGREE Program. The goals of the program are to provide a diverse group of emerging student leaders, from non-elite and underrepresented groups in Indonesia and East Asia.

All global UGRAD Program participants will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate course work chosen from the institution's (US) existing curriculum to allow students ample opportunity for ongoing interaction with U.S. Faculty and student peers, and for exposure to U.S. academic and classroom culture.

To ensure that students succeed in their new academic environments, host institutions will offer tailored instruction on topics including academic research and writing, critical thinking, time management, note taking, and studying for and taking tests. Participants will live on campus with American peers.

Students will also be provided with opportunities to participate in up to ten hours of community service per semester. Additionally, an internship component will be offered to all academic-year participants during the academic component of the program. Internships will be related to each participant's field of study and/or career plans.

Participants may be eligible for up to 4 weeks of intensive English Language instruction in the United States prior to the start of academic portion of their program.

Eligibility:

Scholarships will be granted to students who are currently enrolled in S-1 degree programs only, and have completed their first and up to the fifth semester of undergraduate study at an Indonesian university, by November 1, 2012. Please note that those who are in the sixth semester and above are not eligible to apply.
Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential through academic work, community involvement, and extracurricular activities.
Applicants must have a valid minimum ITP TOEFL score of 500 or IELTS 5.0 or IBT TOEFL score of 60/61. (TOEFL prediction or TOEFL-like score cannot be accepted).
Preference will be given to those who have had little or NO experience in the U.S. or outside of their home countries.
Applications can be for either for one semester or two semester based on nominee's availability. No applications should be submitted for both one semester and two semester programs.
Applicants are required to return to Indonesia after the completion of the program.
